Jo is a pillar of the Salt Lake old-time music community. Their kindness, encyclopedic tune knowledge, and groovy fiddling brings people together. For years, Jo has been living in a body that doesn’t feel like their own. They’ve been working toward getting top surgery, a critical step in their gender-affirming journey, but the cost of surgery, about $13,000 poses an immense barrier.

It’s a really scary time to be trans in America right now, and this fundraiser is an opportunity for our community to show up for Jo the way they have time and time again for us. We’re raising money to help cover their surgery and recovery, including 4 weeks without income.
