Help JJ Stay Alive️

Donation protected
UPDATE 9/28/2023
JJ was admitted to the hospital and is fighting an infection. It is causing her extremely high pain levels. She is getting a blood transfusion because of low immune markers which will hopefully help her body fight this infection.

HOWEVER in addition to her hospitalization, she needs to come up with $1,400 by the end of this week or SHE LOSES HER INSURANCE. She wont be able to get the medical help she needs to stay alive if she can not continue on her insurance. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING to help her be able to keep FIGHTING. This is life or death for so many reasons.

Hello, my name is Havalah and I have created this gofundme for my dear friend JJ as she battles cancer.

In August of 2022, JJ started passing out almost daily, experiencing chronic fatigue, having chest pains, experiencing personality changes, and quickly lost her ability to walk. By late August, she was in a wheelchair and diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis. Despite getting the appropriate treatment for the AE, she was still having chest pain, chronic fatigue, and couldn’t walk.

In October, she found out it was because of a HUGE cardiac tumor. Stage 4 primary cardiac angiosarcoma. Aka cancer. In October, she had a long, extensive open heart surgery called an autotransplant in effort to scrape out all of the cardiac tumor and avoid having to be put on the transplant list.

Since then, she’s failed two rounds of chemo and yet she’s still here, and we need to keep it that way! Her doctors have finally found a fairly hopeful treatment plan but she needs our help. Her PTSD from the treatment side effects and her increasing medical debt got so bad that she tried to kill herself (*shared with permission from JJ) in March and just spent the last few months in California in a residential mental health treatment program.

JJ has been fighting for so long with very little support. The financial, physical and emotional burden cancer brings should not be something a person ever has to go through alone. If you can spare anything, every little bit helps as she continues to battle such an ugly and ruthless disease.
