JJ went missing on the 12th of October. After days of searching we knew something was wrong. We later learned she had been accidentally trapped in another flat in our building, two floors above us, unable to escape, eat or drink for more than a month.
She survived over 40 days completely alone.
No food. No water. No sunlight. No comfort.
On the 22nd of November, we finally found her. She was severely underweight, exhausted, dehydrated and limping from an injury we believe happened while she was trying to escape. Even though she was trying to act okay, it was clear she was in real pain.
We took her straight to the vet and she has now received treatment, medication and care. The emergency bills have become overwhelming, and as a full-time nursing student with no pet insurance, this was a sudden financial hit that I cannot manage on my own.
JJ is a gentle indoor cat who did not deserve what she went through. She fought to come home, and now I want to give her the chance to heal and return to her full strength.
Any help, even the smallest amount, truly means everything.
Thank you for reading and supporting JJ’s recovery.
