Urgent: Help Jim Weber’s Son Fight for His Life
The poop king who has shown up for all of us in our worst moments now needs us.

Jim Weber’s son is on life support, facing permanent paralysis, and the road ahead is overwhelming.

Right now, a father is sitting beside his son’s hospital bed, not knowing if he will ever walk again… or who he will be when he wakes up.

Jim Weber got the call every parent fears, his son, Jimmy Weber Jr., had been in a catastrophic car accident over 3,000 miles from home. Since that moment, nothing has been the same.

Jimmy Jr. is in the ICU on life support, fighting for his life. His injuries are devastating, multiple broken bones, severe internal damage, and a traumatic brain injury. He has a tracheotomy, a feeding tube, and is now paralyzed from the chest down. Doctors have indicated this paralysis is likely permanent.

He is beginning to regain consciousness in small moments, but the extent of his brain injury and cognitive function is still unknown. The road ahead is not just survival, it is months to years of intensive care, long term hospitalization, and lifelong rehabilitation.

Jimmy Jr., grew up in Homer and was a fishing guide captain in Homer since 2021, built his life around strength, independence, and the outdoors. That life has changed forever.

There is no medical insurance.

The cost of saving his life, sustaining it, and giving him any chance at recovery will be overwhelming ICU care, surgeries, long term rehabilitation, specialized equipment, travel, and living expenses for his family who refuse to leave his side.

Jim Sr. is there now, along with his girlfriend, Jody Squires, who is fighting for her own life as well. Jody just completed chemotherapy and was about to begin radiation, but has postponed her treatment to be there for Jim and Jimmy Jr. in this critical moment.

This family has already endured heartbreak. Just four years ago, Jimmy Jr. lost his mother during COVID. Now they are facing another devastating fight, one that will not end when Jimmy leaves the ICU.

If you’re from Homer, you know Jim and his poop mobile. He’s the one who shows up no matter what, the one out in brutal, below-zero temperatures fixing frozen pipes and backed-up sewer lines when the rest of us are inside staying warm. He’s the one who helps, no questions asked.

But right now, he can’t be there.

Jim isn’t around town being “the poop king" right now, he’s a father sitting beside his son, watching machines breathe for him, praying for another moment, another sign, another chance.

Jim and Jody are overwhelmed and asking for privacy. Please do not call, text or go by their house. Posting a funny meme is always appreciated by Jim, as laughing is the best medicine and all that is keeping him sane during this horrible time.

What they truly need right now is prayer, love, and support.

If you are able, please donate, because this is not just a short term crisis. This is the beginning of a lifelong fight. Every dollar will go toward medical care, long term rehabilitation, and helping this family survive the unthinkable.

If you can’t donate, please share. Help us reach as many people as possible.

Let’s come together for Jim, for Jody, and for Jimmy Jr.

They need us right now.
