I am humbly seeking your help to stop an eviction from my long-term rent stabilized home of 35 years. I fell behind on rent during the pandemic when I, like many, lost my job. Tragically, my brother—who lived with me and contributed to rent—died from COVID-19. We had lived together for the last fifteen years and so losing him was incredibly painful, and also made a difficult financial situation worse.

I am now back on my feet and have been able to afford my ongoing rent for nearly two years. However, I am still facing eviction from the back rent I owe. Any amount that you can contribute makes a difference.
