Jimmy Parker has been a dedicated security guard in Waco, Texas for over 30 years. Throughout his career, he has protected countless people and put himself in harm’s way to keep others safe. In 2016, while he was working his post as a security guard at a bingo establishment, Jimmy was attacked by a would-be robber. He bravely intervened to protect everyone in the building, and Jimmy was shot in the hand during the struggle. His courage and quick thinking saved lives that day, and his community has always been grateful for his service.

Now, Jimmy faces a new challenge. His eyesight is failing, and without urgent surgery, he risks losing his vision—and with it, his job and independence. This surgery is Jimmy’s best hope to restore his sight and continue serving as a security guard for many more years. The funds raised will go directly toward covering the cost of his surgery and helping him get back on his feet.
