In February 2025, devastation hit the Evitch family and loved ones when Jimmy was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.
A proud grandfather of 2 and 1 on the way, a dedicated father of 4, and a devoted boyfriend, Jimmy loves and adores his immediate and chosen family. Jimmy was born to be a family man. His passion, on top of his family, is fishing and wildlife. Jimmy LOVES to fish, especially in the winter. Unfortunately, due to surgery, he has to put that passion on hold.
Jimmy has faced and overcome challenges and many hardships in his life, dedicating his life to helping others and sharing a message that shows others with similar hardships that there can be a new way of life. He has shown that anyone can turn their lives around and become the person they are truly meant to be. He always puts the needs and wants of others before his own desires, choosing time, energy, effort, and love towards his family and peers.
Jimmy had to have emergency surgery after being admitted to the ER for severe abdominal pain. Images showed a mass that they determined immediately as cancerous. Due to surgery and medical needs, Jimmy is on leave from work with no pay. Unfortunately, Jimmy's job does not offer insurance, health benefits, or medical leave, and medical expenses are adding up fast. He also has to start chemotherapy, which alone on average without insurance is between $5,000 - $12,000 per session. This does not include the cost of the emergency room visit, surgery, or post-surgery hospital stay. His hospital stay and ER visit alone is currently a total of $68,000. This does NOT include surgery costs.
We, the family and loved ones of Jimmy, are humbly asking for support during this extremely difficult time of fear. Anything helps and is appreciated beyond words. We express greatly our love and thanks for your help.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
