“Help Jimmy Get Back on Two Wheels ”

Hi friends,

Recently, my Ride1Up Portola electric bike was stolen. That bike wasn’t just transportation—it was my way to get around since we don’t have a car, and it helped me stay healthy.

I used it to commute, especially on days when I volunteer as a mentor in a fatherhood program (something I’ve done faithfully for 2+ years). It also helped me maintain my health—riding has been a big part of how I manage diabetes and stay in shape.

Now I’m raising funds to replace it with the same model—the Ride1Up Portola, which is currently on a special sale. My goal is $1,500, which covers the bike, taxes, and the basic accessories I need to ride safely.

I can’t afford to cover the cost on my own, so I would love your help in paying for the bike in full. This time, I’ll be investing in a better lock, and I now have permission to bring the bike inside the building when I volunteer—no more leaving it on a signpost in a tough neighborhood.
