Five years ago I was a High School drop-out with no Diploma who decided to go back to school and give themself a second-chance with getting an education. I started with my GED, doing so well I was given college credit. I then enrolled into a local community college where I found a passion for studying history. Graduating with Honors in 2017, I was accepted as a transfer to UC Berkeley to finish my undergraduate degree. Now, I am moving-on to Graduate School in Vermont (beginning in August). However, the move, despite my savings, is going to make it impossible to afford rent and necessities until school starts. This is where me and my boys need help. 

Due to the large amount of Californians leaving California, the price of renting a van is astronomically high. This has put a damper on my plans, and made it harder, if not impossible, to afford a place until school starts. The cost of the move is going to be around $2500+, which is why we are asking for that much.  If I could somehow find a way to get up the cost of moving, my savings would cover me and my dogs until school starts. Otherwise, this is going to be a near impossible move to make without sleeping outside with my dogs until school begins. I am willing to do whatever it takes to move into the next chapter of my education, but I would be able to do so much more to prepare for my classes if I didn't have to live outside while I do it. ANYTHING helps, and I appreciate all your support. Even just sharing this page can make a difference. This isn’t something I wanted to do, but I want to be able to make it to the future I’ve worked so hard for.
