Jimbo is well known for his work in helping with fundraisers such as Make-A-Wish Maine, as well as helping local businesses thrive. Giving back to his community is near and dear to his heart. Well, now it's our turn to help Jimbo! After celebrating being cancer-free for 20 years, Jimbo was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the throat in 2020. He went on to complete a rigorous schedule of radiation and chemotherapy. Although his body has done amazingly well, he still has a trek ahead of him. After recognizing pressure and breathing issues with his lung, Jimbo had a PET scan in December of 2021. This scan showed the cancer has metastasized into his right lung, requiring a biopsy to diagnose exactly what it is.

 

Jimbo is a fighter and anyone who knows him would probably say he is also stubborn! He is not a "wait and see" kind of person. Jimbo is seeking alternative, more natural treatment options. Of course, this comes at a high cost not covered by insurance.
