Help Jim with his heart transplant recovery

I, like many have asked what can we do to help Jim through this trying time, so I am creating this Go Fund me Page for him and his family. Jim has been such an integral part of the Wilton community for over 26 years. He has done so much for me and my family over the years. I started going to CT Coffee when I had my son over 21 years ago. CT Coffee quickly became my favorite coffee place! Jim has always greeted me with a smile and when ever I asked for a favor he has always said yes, without hesitation. He always asks how I am doing and how my children are as well. He has donated to many events through the years and always goes above and beyond for his customers.

His children Gabby, Mia and Yasmine have been apart of CT Coffee as well through out the years and I feel like they are family! Gabby has been doing a wonderful job running CT Coffee and Mia has rejoined the team in September, while his youngest daughter Yasmine helps with all the medical needs, using her expertise in the medical field.

Jim went into Norwalk hospital in early November with fluids that had built up in his lungs. Very quickly he learned that his heart was in failure and he was in desperate need of a heart transplant. He was transferred up to Yale and was on life support. Shortly after he was matched with a heart and the surgery was a success, a true miracle! He spent 41 days in the hospital and has been home recovering here in Wilton with his daughter Yasmine, so he can be closer to Yale for rehabilitation. He still has a long road ahead of with physical therapy, medical bills and medicine.
