Anyone who is anyone in the world of internet cats knows Ralphie and Jim, from Winnipeg, Canada. They are pretty much mega-rawk stars, and feline internet royalty. Ever watch the series, Breaking Bad? Welp, that's pretty much Jim there in the role of the main character. But I digress.

Jim is sick. His liver, kidneys, and spleen are enlarged. He won't eat (he really IS sick) and has lost a lot of weight. The vets think it may be lymphoma. A few days ago, he had exploratory surgery, which he came through. But the prognosis is uncertain at this moment. What is certain is that the veterinary bills for diagnostics, surgery, and medicine are multiplying geometrically and have already crossed the $10,000 Canadian threshold. Jim's Mom and Dad-persons will do whatever it takes to restore Jim to health, or to at least give him a chance to live out his natural life (he already squandered the other eight lives). But it is a heavy financial rock. Which is why I am organizing this GoFundMe campaign to help them out.

Heather, Gary, and I became friends a decade ago because our cats were friends on Facebook. I have actually visited them in Winnipeg and become Jim and Ralphie's twisted American uncle. Unfortunately, Canada's national health system does not cover internet cats, so Jim's illness is hitting Heather and Gary hard, with more veterinary outlays looming.

I would be deeply grateful if everyone who loves Jim and Ralphie could contribute to helping defray Jim's medical bills. These are hard times for everyone but the billionaires, and I don't make this request lightly. But I have been a guest in Heather and Gary's home. Jim slept on my bed the whole time I was there. He is pure love and sweetness bundled up in a Gray Tabby package.
