Hi, my name is Jim Sanders and I am currently battling liver failure. I need a transplant, and the clinic requires new transplant patients to rent an apartment for 30 days so they can monitor for possible rejection. This is a critical step in my recovery, and without it, I won’t be able to receive the liver transplant that could save my life.

Right now, I am on state disability insurance and my monthly income is limited. After paying my bills, I am left with very little for the rest of the month, which makes it impossible for me to afford the apartment. The clinic has made it clear that if I don’t secure this room, I won’t be eligible for the transplant, and I am terrified of what that could mean for my future.
