Jim has spent years giving back to his community and fellow veterans. As a proud member of the American Legion Riders, he has escorted countless veterans to their final resting place, never asking for anything in return. Yesterday, Jim was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. His beloved 2003 Harley Davidson was totaled, but by some miracle, he made it through with only a few stitches and a very sore body. After a long day in the ER, he was able to come home to his family, who are so grateful for his safety.
Jim is a Vietnam veteran and a 78-year-old man with a huge heart. His greatest joy is serving others, especially those who have served our country. Unfortunately, his insurance won’t cover much for his totaled bike, and without a motorcycle, he can’t continue his important work with the American Legion Riders. Our family would love to help Jim get a Harley Davidson trike so he can keep doing what he loves—escorting veterans to their final home. We’re hoping to give him a jump start on a good, used, low-mileage trike so he can get back on the road as soon as possible.
We’re reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who has been touched by Jim’s kindness or the service of veterans. Any help you can give would mean the world to Jim and our family. Thank you for supporting a man who has given so much to others.
