My cat Jim and his brother Dwight have been my whole world since the day I brought them home as kittens. Jim is a true daddy's boy, he follows me from room to room, curls up next to me every night, and has been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life. It's just the three of us, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.
A few weeks ago, Jim started having some health issues. He suffered a urinary blockage, which we treated, but then he blocked again. And again. Three blockages in rapid succession, each one landing him in the vet with the 2nd having him stay hospitalized for 3 days. After the third, he needed emergency PU surgery. I was so relieved to finally bring him home and watch him start to heal. Then he blocked a fourth time. Jim is back with the vets now, undergoing more tests as they work to figure out what's happening inside his little body. Every day is uncertain, and every day I'm terrified of losing him.
The bills from all the vet visits, hospitalization, emergency surgery, and ongoing diagnostics have become more than I can manage on my own. I'm not asking for much, just whatever you can spare. Every dollar goes directly toward keeping Jim alive and comfortable while we fight to get him healthy. If you've ever loved a pet the way I love Jim, you know there's nothing you wouldn't do.
Thank you for reading his story, and for helping me make sure it doesn't end here!
