Help Jim Peck Survive a Devastating Layoff.

Hello. My name is Jim Peck, and until a year ago, I was the writer for the iconic computer game: the Kerbal Space Program.

Unfortunately, last year our studio was shuttered, and all my co-workers and I were laid off.

Since then, I've been trying to find a new project to work on and a studio to call home. But in that time, I've also seen the entire gaming industry collapse, studio after studio shuttered, and thousands of good people laid off.

Things are now becoming desperate. My savings are gone, and I am looking at the very real possibility of retiring several years early just to provide an income... which is something I absolutely do NOT WANT TO DO!!!

So I am setting this GoFundMe up in the hopes of raising enough emergency money to keep a roof over me and my 82-year-old mother's heads until I can find something.

I would not ask if I was not absolutely out of options. I'm not trying to scam anyone. I just want to try and raise enough to survive. I promise the second I find a new job, this fundraising page will come down.
