Help Jim Parsons Through His Cancer Journey

My name is Niki Collins, and I am raising money to help my father, Jim Parsons. He was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. He is unable to work due to pain and will be starting treatments this week.

My dad is not one to ask for help, but he is going to need it. The funds raised will be used for his upcoming mortgage, to pay for his insurance, utilities, food, medical expenses, and prescription medication.

-update 5/30- Dad is now co-organizer to the fundraiser as well as beneficiary, officially, and will be adding updates when we see him for treatments.

He asked me to express his gratitude for the support, love and prayers.

-UPDATE 6/14

I am grateful to have taken dad to his chemotherapy this last Thursday. He is so strong and wanted to take a long walk with the time we had between blood work and his doctor appointment. We never stopped to sit.

Dad loves introducing his daughters to everyone. With every new face, he introduced me and would say, “You’ve met Lisa, and Cassidy, this is Niki, my oldest daughter. And one more that will be here too, Ashley, who lives in Mendon, Michigan.” With a big smile.

We watched the US open, which he is usually at work for.

He will get this next week off to rest and back to his chemotherapy the week following. He is tough as always!

Dad also asked me to write thank you’s on his behalf. With your help he has been able to pay bills while getting his things in order. You’re all a great blessing. Thank God for you.
