Help Jim, our local IGA Superstar!!

Hi,

I am a proud Excelsior Park resident who loves our local IGA, especially our friend Jim. (The older gentleman who has been there as long as I can remember )

Jim (The original Jim’s Mowing) works mowing lawns through the day and pops up to help us behind the counter of an evening.

I’m not sure if you are aware but Jim has been battling Cancer and is now doing Radiation Therapy.

Would you believe Jim had his first session of Radiation today and is back working tonight.

I asked Jim why on earth was he working and his response was that he has no choice, financially he has to work to support himself and his wife!

Im hoping our wonderful community can rally together and help Jim take some time off to rest while completing his Therapy instead of having to work.

Anyone who has experienced Cancer knows how much this therapy takes the energy from your soul.

Please dig deep and help our wonderful friend to take some time off to heal while we look after his bills.

I have Jim’s permission to do this fundraiser, we had a giggle as he has no idea what GoFundMe was but he would gladly accept any help we can offer.

He has to catch a Cab to the RBWH Daily for treatment so if you can help with transport that would be wonderful as well.
