Thursday my dad, Jim Morrill, collapsed and suffered a cardiac event while working at the Yarmouth Transfer Center. Luckily CPR was performed with assistance of an AED he was revived before being transferred to Maine Medical Center where he coded multiple times before blockages were removed from his arteries.
My dad has always been a huge part of Yarmouth and is extremely thankful for this community. We are beyond thankful for the police officer, transfer station coworkers and physician assistant at the transfer station for saving his life. He has a long recovery ahead of him.
This medical event puts a lot of financial stress on his family as he will be unable to work for several months. My parents are extremely loving people having been foster parents for 20 years and adopting 6 kids from the system. We hate to add more stress to our mom with the financial burden this caused. All of his kids are extremely involved in the community, attending the schools and coaching sports. We are asking for support in our community for our family in this extremely difficult time. All money would be used to help pay bills and support his recovery.
We can not thank everyone enough who has reached out.
