Our dad, Jim, has lived his entire life with integrity, vitality, and an unwavering commitment to his health. At 76, he’s still in remarkable shape, sharp-minded and full of life, but right now, he’s facing something that has deeply impacted his quality of life.

Jim’s hip joint has deteriorated to the point of causing him daily, debilitating pain. The man who once walked for miles, biked, and played with his grandkids now struggles just to move comfortably. It’s incredibly difficult to witness someone so vibrant be held back from the active life he’s always loved.

Due to Canada’s overwhelmed medical system, Jim has been placed on a 17-month surgical waitlist, with still another year to go. The pain he’s in every day makes that wait feel unbearable. Simply put, he doesn’t know how he’ll endure another year of this.

Rather than wait, we’re coming together as a family to support him in getting a total hip replacement overseas in Lithuania, where he can receive top-tier medical care and a high-quality implant within weeks rather than years. The surgery, travel, and ten days of recovery care abroad will come at a cost, and that’s where we could use your help.

Jim has always been the one who shows up for others unconditionally to support and give. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
