Jim DuPage is a devoted husband and a loving, caring father to his three children aged 16, 5, and 3. His greatest passion in life has always been simple: providing for his family, guiding his kids, and serving his community.
Recently, Jim and his family were hit with news no family is ever prepared to hear. What initially began as a concerning lump on his neck led to a surgery that brought to light the unfortunate reality of a cancer diagnosis.
Between his initial surgery, hospital stays, and ongoing consultations with specialists, medical expenses are already mounting. As of September 23rd, accrued costs have reached $1,000, and this is only the very beginning of his journey.
Over the next 3 to 4 months, Jim will undergo an intensive series of treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and potentially another surgery. Because his specialized treatment takes place in Chicago—a 2.5-hour drive each way—Jim and his family will be making this long trip multiple times every single week.
For those who know Jim, you know how tirelessly he gives back. As a dedicated educator at United Township High School, a coach for the Hilltopper football team, and a Silvis Alderman, Jim has spent his career mentoring youth, leading on the field, and serving his local town. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
We are asking our community to lift up Jim, his family, and his medical team in prayer. To help ease the heavy burden on their shoulders, we are raising funds to cover:
Rapidly accumulating medical bills and treatment costs
Travel expenses, gas, and tolls for constant trips to Chicago
Hotel stays for extended treatment days
Any donation, big or small, helps Jim focus on what matters most: fighting this disease and being there for his three young kids. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this page and keeping the DuPage family in your thoughts and prayers means the world to us.
Thank you for your generosity, love, and support.
