Help Jim Brothers Focus On Beating Leukemia
Donation protected
My name is Dustin Hubbard (Grand Son in-law), and I am raising funds to help Jim Brothers focus on what matters most. As most of you already know, Jim is not one to ask for help, but could really use support through this battle he is facing. Jim was diagnosed with AML Leukemia In early November of this year. Although Jim is 79, he continued to work and provide for his wife and two great grandchildren. Jim has faced a lot and was always able to work through the adversities that he faced. He knew something was wrong when he could no longer push through.
The doctor wanted to immediately admit Jim to the hospital when they diagnosed him, but Jim needed to ensure the family had everything in order before going in. He came home and ensured his wife and Great Grandchildren had instructions on all things that he normally took care of prior to going back into the hospital. He worked until he couldn’t. Jim’s health quickly declined. It was only a week post his diagnosis that he was no longer able to stand for more than a minute or two. Jim was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, November 7th. As Jim arrived to the hospital, they immediately started transfusions. Since then, he has had countless transfusions and has been able to start chemotherapy. Jim has been able to come home while his battle ensues.
As I mentioned before, Jim has always been a provider. Most grandparents can be more hands off than Jim and Pam but this is not the case for them. He became a “father” to Kylee and Shealynne when they were only babies. Jim has freely given his time, money, and support to ensure they not only have what they need, but also things that they can enjoy. It may not be a lot by all standards, but what he has provided is everything to them.
Kylee is now a senior and Shealynn is a freshman in high school. Jim won’t ask for help but he continues to try and figure out how to be the provider he always was. We don’t want this to be a distraction for him. We want him to be able to focus on beating Cancer. One of Jim’s main concerns is paying off his residence, so the girls have a place they can call home. There are countless financial challenges that the family faces. Let’s support them and help them in these tough times.
We appreciate all prayers and any support through these tough times. Please feel free to donate whatever you can afford and please share this post wherever you can. It helps more than you know. I can promise you any donation will be appreciated. I will post updates on Jim’s progress.
