Jim Appel is fighting hard after his surgery to remove cancer on his esophagus. The cancer is gone but his lungs are in bad shape due to chemo and radiation. He’s putting up a good fight and JoDe has been by his side throughout the whole endeavor.

While Jim is still recovering in a Wichita hospital, JoDe has been staying at a hotel and is unable to work.
