Help Jim and his family through cancer treatment

Jimmy - 34years old - was diagnosed with brain cancer 5 years ago after a seizure revealed a tumor which would change his life.

 

He underwent an operation to remove as much of the tumor as possible, and dived into natural alternatives and lifestyle changes to support his body to heal. (He has not had one drop of alcohol or sugar in that time and has lived on a keto diet.)

 

Annual MRI scans 3,6 monthly and then annually, showed that Jim was stable and that what he was doing was working... at least that was until this year.

In January, Jim and Thea accessed a recent MRI scan (the previous few had not been shared with him), and a definite tumor growth that was in stark contrast to the last scan he had seen.

Alarm bells rang and doctors confirmed his worst fears in May - the tumor has been growing since 2019 - somehow missed by doctors who were reporting him to be stable.

 

Jim is now backed into a corner with radiation and chemo treatments his only choice and a 7month journey ahead.  He has to move his little family - including his wife Thea, and his 1 and 4 year old children - down to Brisbane for 6 weeks to undergo radiation, followed by chemo.

 

Jim is an incredible chippy, though has not been able to work consistently since it all began, and not at all since March, creating financial hardship for his little family, and limiting his options for accessing additional treatments and testing to support his life.

 

By creating this Campaign, we hope to gather support to ease the financial burden, so that Jim and Thea can maintain their home and living expenses, and access further medical tests and support therapies to help Jim through this challenging time.
