Hello family and friends. We have some very difficult news to share. My amazing dad, Jim, was in a horrific motorcycle accident on February 6th. He has severe head trauma, broken ribs, a broken nose, and broken facial bones. Part of his skull had to be removed to relieve intracranial pressure. He is currently in the ICU of a major trauma center fighting for his life.

We are all extremely devastated and would appreciate any prayers, thoughts, or well wishes that anyone could send our way.

My dad truly is the toughest man I have ever known. This whole thing has been horrific and gut wrenching. It doesn't seem real at times. I can't sleep much because all I see when I close my eyes is my dad's smiling, goofy expressions and then reality hits again and it feels like I get a punch to the gut. I have tried to figure out a way to make sense of everything and I don't think I ever can.

His wife, Sue (my beautiful mama), is absolutely devastated. They were already on somewhat of a fixed income. as it is, but now things will be extremely difficult on her. She is having medical difficulties of her own and is trying to find a way to care for herself and my dad, as well as their 4 legged children. There are medical bills mounting up and Sue has no way of getting extra income for bills, groceries, animal care, etc…

It would be really great for her to be able to concentrate on him and not have to worry about all the other stresses she has on her.
