My brother Jim, on long-term disability with joint issues (26 surgeries on his joints so far, three more needed) has been struggling with ongoing health problems including diabetes, arthritis of the spine, COPD, etc. This winter Ruth was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, as well as a brain aneurysm. Their out-of-pocket medical costs will total at least 10,000 this year, with another $10,000 for medicine. Other costs include transportation (they live in an isolated rural area in northern Wisconsin); special diet; and dog sitter costs for their family, Sissy and Remi. In addition to these unexpected costs, they were informed they need a new roof!

They hate to ask for help but this has been just too much. Anything you can do to help them out would be greatly appreciated.
