Help Jim and Melissa Fight Cancer Together
Donation protected
Both of my parents, Jim and Melissa, were diagnosed with cancer within weeks of each other.
Jim has stage IV kidney cancer, and Melissa was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer.
Neither of them is able to work right now, and the financial strain has been overwhelming.
Any support, whether through donations, sharing this page, or keeping them in your prayers, means the world to our family as they focus on healing.
Supporting Jim and Melissa Through Their Fight Against Cancer
In December 2024, our lives were turned upside down when my dad, Jim, was rushed to the hospital with sudden, severe pain. After surgery to remove his kidney, we received devastating news. Jim has stage IV kidney cancer that has spread to his bones. He is now unable to work and is on disability, receiving only a portion of his normal income.
Just as we were beginning to process his diagnosis, my mom, Melissa, began experiencing severe stomach pain in January. She was unable to eat, was often sick, and knew something wasn’t right. After many tests and an endoscopy, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Melissa bravely went through chemotherapy, and most recently underwent a surgery to remove a majority of her stomach. She is now in recovery, but unable to work and will go without pay since she has exhausted her PTO caring for Jim and enduring her own treatments. Once she recovers from surgery, she will need additional rounds of chemotherapy.
Meanwhile, Jim is undergoing frequent radiation and immunotherapy treatments for his kidney cancer. Both of them are often left feeling ill and fatigued from these treatments, making it even harder to manage day-to-day life.
Our family is facing the unimaginable. Both of my parents fighting cancer at the same time. While they are doing everything they can to stay strong and focus on healing, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Medical bills, treatments, and the loss of income from both parents have left them in a very difficult position.
Jim and Melissa are two of the most hardworking, loving people you could ever meet. They don’t often ask for help. Any support, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this page, will help lift some of the weight off their shoulders so they can focus on what matters most. Fighting cancer and healing together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
