Hello, most of you already know Jim and I (Lisa). You also may have heard that I have lost my job of 20 years and have had to start over. To make our life more difficult, Jim has dementia and cannot work. Jim lost his disability benefits due to thinking he was receiving workers compensation from an injury 2 years ago. So, we are trying to get by on my income only. Needless to say, we cannot get by. We can’t pay our mortgage, water bill, and our oil tank is empty in which we also use for heating our hot water. Going to the grocery store with $80 is not happening. I had to put a lot of stuff back because I couldn’t afford it. How embarrassing that was! This has happened more than a couple times and have had cashiers actually put in some of their own money so that I could get what I needed.

On top of everything else, I can’t even pay Jim’s Caregiver. She is a wonderful lady and we do not want to lose her!

Jim and I have never been in this much trouble financially and now I know what it is like and would not wish this on anyone.
