Help Jillie recover from Mistys sudden death

Donation protected
Jillie and I were enjoying our first holiday together when Jillie received the tragic news that her horse had been impaled whilst in the care of somebody else.

Jillie’s beloved horse misty was taken to Leahurst where the vets stabilised her but informed us she was in a very poor condition.

Me and Jillie had to get emergency flights home halfway through our holiday which has now put us out of pocket. Additionally, we have had to move our other pony and pay further livery costs for his care whilst we deal with the situation.

Jillie will now have to take time off work to try and deal with the shock and process the trauma. Upon landing at Liverpool we had to travel to Lea hurst to say goodbye immediately, and she sadly had to be euthanised part way through the surgery.

No one expects to go on holiday and come back to the traumatic news that their animal has died.

We have received so many messages and calls and it’s so soothing to know misty was so loved and is now out of pain.

Obviously these unexpected costs have taken a toll on ourselves and  we have spent a lot of money getting home, travelling to say goodbye to misty and moving our other pony to a yard where he can receive full time care whilst we process the trauma and get misty home to say our final goodbye.

We would also like to organise a small gathering to say goodbye to misty properly.

Any donations are welcome no matter how small you think they may be.

Thank you so much and we hope misty is galloping free out of pain ❤️
