My name is Jillian, and I’m reaching out for help after a life-changing accident. Early one morning, I was riding in a van to my drug rehab program. The van didn’t have seat belts, and I was already feeling very sick with a 102.9 fever, wearing a mask to protect others. As we arrived, I had to direct the driver where to drop me off because of nearby construction. Suddenly, the driver slammed on the brakes, and I was thrown into the dashboard. The impact broke my tooth, whipped my neck, and caused a chain reaction that broke my left hip when my leg hit the driving clutch and emergency brake.
This accident has turned my world upside down. I’ve been clean and sober for almost 10 months, working hard to rebuild my life, but now I’m facing a whole new set of challenges. Since the accident in August 2025, I’ve been unable to work. The medical bills are piling up, and I have to go through physical therapy every day. I now rely on a walker to get around, and I had to install a chair lift just to reach my bedroom. Even simple daily activities have become incredibly hard and overwhelming.
I’ve always been a go-getter, running around town and staying busy, so being unable to move is both depressing and sad. Whatever you can give—even spare change—would help lift my spirits and give me something to look forward to, like being able to order something that comes to me. Thank you so much in advance for your kindness and support. I truly appreciate it. God bless you all.
