Help Jillian and Jeorge After Fire Loss

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I'm Jillian, 23, and unfortunately asking for your help following the devastating fire that took place about a month ago at my apartment building in San Francisco, CA. I recently learned that insurance won't be able to cover any of my losses, so am turning to my community for help.

Me and my cat, Jeorge, 13, had moved into the building at Larkin St in January of this year. I lost my job barely a month later in early February, and the fire occurred in early April. The fire began in the unit directly above mine before spreading upwards and outwards, consuming three floors and damaging surrounding buildings. I suffered a near total loss of personal property due to smoke, water damage, and the collapse of my ceiling. In a picture attached, you can see my windows directly under the blaze.

This experience has been difficult for many reasons, but above all I am so grateful that both I and my cat are safe and unharmed. I wish my community a speedy and continued recovery process, and appreciate any help you are able to offer.
