Help Jill take care of her son Brady

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart but an infinite amount of optimism that we are starting this fundraising effort for our dear friend and colleague Jill Putnam. On the afternoon of January 10th, Jill and her 13-year-old son Brady set out to walk their dogs at the reservoir. Once the walk started Brady was suddenly unable to walk more than 100 feet without becoming extremely fatigued. He was physically unable to walk. Jill, a Registered Nurse,
was able to identify that his heart rate was also alarmingly high. She took him to a nearby hospital where initial lab work pointed to a likely diagnosis of leukemia. Brady was transferred to a hospital that could  provide a higher level of care. On January 11th, he received needed blood transfusions and underwent further testing. The oncologist diagnosed Brady with Acute Lymphoblastic B-Cell Leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Aggressive treatment has already begun. He received a dose of intrathecal (in the spinal canal) chemotherapy. Brady is an amazing kid with an infectious spirit. He is funny and kind, loves all sports, plays
video games, and helps to raise and care for their boxers.

Jill is a hard working single mom. She works full time and takes call to make sure Brady has everything he needs,  all while homeschooling him during the COVID pandemic. Her employment as a nurse will thankfully provide Brady with insurance coverage for his medical care. That being said, Jill will be unable to work for an extended period of time and the unknown journey ahead will be a long one. We, her friends, would like to take as much of the financial burden from her plate as possible,  so she can solely focus on Brady’s health. Any donation, no matter how small, would be so appreciated to help offset some of Jill’s financial obligations. Jill’s Venmo is @jillaputnam or her zelle is [phone redacted] if you are more comfortable donating through those platforms. As Jill said when she shared the news with her co-workers, “Please be kind and forgiving to one another” because you never know when life will deliver you the unimaginable.

With love and gratitude we thank you for your support of our friend and her son.
