My friend, Jill Yundt, is a single mother facing an incredibly tough situation. Jill is amazing and is always opening her home to children in need of stability and a safe, loving haven. Currently, her 10 year old son, Isaac, is in the ICU. Isaac was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He has a very complicated medical history including visual, hearing and physical impairments. Isaac has been faced with countless health issues and continues to be a loving, kind and enthusiastic young person who is well loved by all who know him. This most recent health scare has tragically impacted Jill and her family. As a result, Jill is unable to work to provide for her other children. Unfortunately, Jill doesn’t have any paid time off, and this has left her in a difficult financial position. I am reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and allow Jill to continue being at the hospital with Isaac.

Feb. 23 update: Everything has been slowly moving in a positive direction since yesterday.  He’s more responsive and alert.  Infection/inflammation markers are trending down, electrolyte levels have stopped dropping, kidney function is improving. All really, really encouraging news.
