On December 18th, Jill fell seriously ill while on vacation in Cabo with her husband William, her brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and quickly placed in the ICU on a ventilator. Both of her lungs were filled with fluid, and doctors began working with medication to relieve the pressure. By December 23rd, Jill’s condition had worsened, and she required hemodialysis due to kidney issues. New medications were introduced to help her heart and improve kidney function, but her recovery remained uncertain. The following day, swelling in her bronchial tubes and persistent lung issues made her situation even more critical. On December 26th, her ventilator settings had to be increased, and her oxygen levels remained dangerously low. Jill is now in urgent need of blood platelets, which are difficult to obtain in Cabo, and her husband William is working tirelessly to arrange for her to be airlifted back to the United States for the care she desperately needs. As you can imagine, the costs of an emergency airlift and ongoing medical care are overwhelming. Jill and William have always been the first to help others and never ask for anything in return, but now they need our support more than ever. Just a few months ago, on October 31st, Jill received the wonderful news that she was still cancer-free, and we were all looking forward to celebrating two years of remission in January 2026. This unexpected crisis has turned their world upside down. Any funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs of Jill’s airlift, her medical bills, and supporting William as he remains by her side.
