Dear Friends, Families, and Supporters, For those of you who know Jill Hallquist, you know that she is an adventurer of all things outdoors, a proud mama to her dog Bill, the life of the party, and the kind of person that would give anyone the shirt off of her back. Jill gives so much of herself to people she loves and causes she believes in like cleaning up Lake Tahoe, organizing a compost program for her neighborhood, and biking a meal over to someone in need. Jill has always showed up for her community, and now it's our turn to show up for her. Jill is in the middle of a sabbatical from work, and this was supposed to be a year of opportunity to do things she likes to do, like swimming in Lake Tahoe, climbing mountains, skiing down mountains, biking, and traveling the world. But, in June 2023, at 35 years old, the plans Jill had for her life were put on hold because she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Anyone who knows Jill knows she is a strong, independent woman who also struggles to ask for help because she is always the one helping others, therefore, we are making this GoFundMe for her to raise money to cover the astronomically high medical bills that come with a Cancer diagnosis. In the upcoming months, Jill will be challenged physically, emotionally and mentally while she commutes to her Cancer treatments including Chemotherapy, Radiation, and other possible procedures. This complete lifestyle change is heartbreaking for Jill as she anticipates the physical repercussions of all of these treatments. ` Nobody expects this to happen to them at such a young age, especially healthy and active people like Jill Hallquist. She will be facing new challenges everyday, all of which will come with a financial burden that she will carry with her for years. We are hopeful that this GoFundMe will help to take some of that burden from her, so thank you for your donation-no amount is too small! If you prefer to send money to Jill directly, her Venmo handle is @Jill-Hallquist. Your generosity alleviates so much of Jill's worry and allows her to focus on healing. Cancer is strong, but Jill is stronger. With Gratitude, The Friends & Family of Jill
