Please help Jill Coley get settled into her new home at Vitality Living in Madison, Georgia while she continues to battle 25 years of scleroderma.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and fibrosis (thickening) in the skin and other areas of the body. When an immune response tricks tissues into thinking they are injured, it causes inflammation, and the body makes too much collagen, leading to scleroderma. Too much collagen in your skin and other tissues causes areas of tight, hard skin and in Jill’s case, severe damage to her hands and feet and limited range of motion as well as muscle deterioration.
Jill has fought against overwhelming odds and terrible suffering. She is a survivor and determined to maintain her independent lifestyle.
Having just moved back to her hometown of Madison, GA, she has found an active retired professional community to call home.
When asked what would help her settle into her new life, Jill replied that while many things are needed, one important way to support an independent lifestyle would be to own an electric scooter so she can freely move around outside her apartment and enjoy all the activities the community has to offer. Let’s help Jill stay independent!
Any and all help to welcome Jill back into the community would be greatly appreciated.
