Meet Jill, a rescue pup from Because We Care Rescue.

Jill has been with us since December 28th, 2025 and unfortunately has came down with the Parvo virus. This virus used to be a death sentence to puppies who cought it, but thanks to modern medications it can be treated with a high survival rate! It is contagious and a risk every shelter and rescue take when bringing pups into their care.

Unfortunatly, this treatment is extreamly expensive and with BWC being a non-profit, we are asking for help to cover this cost.

Since early May of 2025, we have successfully treated 7 puppies with the virus, Jill makes 8, and its taken a tole on our funds.

Jill's story! Jill is normally a bright girl full of love and energy. She loves snuggles, playing and giving kisses to anyone she can sweet talk into them. She came to us from California as an owner surrender when the gentalman got overwhelmed after an accidental litter. He took very good care of her and all the pups, making home cooked meals daily and keeping his space and pups clean.

That said, Jill has a loving family waiting for her including a new doggy sister who's impatiently waiting for her to get better so she can come home!

Jill is currently in a medical foster home receiving around the clock care

The money raised will go towards the medical bill, medications and supportive care, like special food, sanitizer, gloves, ect.

We will update this as soon as we get the grand total from the vet bill.
