My name is Jiin Christou, I live in California and was a working musician until COVID hit. Like so many thousands of others, I am on the brink of losing everything.

Music is what drives me. Let me make it clear, I worked as a photojournalist in order to travel and spent years living in tribal cultures in order to understand native rhythm and sound. Such is the passion that drives me. I did this as a young single woman and am offering this background so you might understand how important music is in my life and that I am willing to take great risk to achieve my goals. I have put everything into my studio. It is my home, my work place - my safe place.

I am now at the brink of losing it all and being forced onto the streets. The lack of interest and support from a very indifferent government is destroying my livelihood. It's not that I am unwilling to work, there is just no work to be had. As much as I hate to admit it, I need help.

I am doing a fundraiser in order to keep my studio. It is my world. I am calling for any compassionate souls to donate to the Keep My Studio' campaign.
