Help Jehad's Family to Survive & Escape Genocide
Hello, I am Jihad Al-Farra, a Palestinian from Gaza.
My family has asked me to raise funds not only to try to evacuate Gaza, but also to meet our daily needs for survival: health care, food, water, and medicine. We need to pay fees to study, and to fund rent and transportation once we evacuate, but we also have immediate needs to survive until we get the opportunity to travel to Egypt. Prices for food, winter clothing and other necessities are catastrophic. I am responsible for twenty people - my parents, my three sisters and four brothers, my 10 nieces and nephews, and myself - and I need to provide for us all, as well as to fund our travel and registration expenses once the Rafah crossing reopens.
All our money has been spent to buy food and essentials at astronomical prices. I need these things because I lost them in the war due to the continuous hostility and displacement. We have nothing now, neither me nor my family, my brothers’ and sisters’ children. We are in dire need of living in peace so that we do not die from diseases and epidemics.
My Story
Since my early childhood, I have harbored grand dreams and boundless ambitions. I enrolled at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, where I study English Language and Translation.

Throughout my academic journey,I have always excelled and stood out, achieving a very good GPA as I aspired to reach excellence to enhance my opportunities for scholarships and employment.

I worked diligently as a translator and content writer on freelance platforms, but life in Gaza was always fraught with dangers. Suddenly, and without warning, the occupation destroyed everything.
This crater is the result of tons of explosives that were launched on the land next to my house, causing extensive damage to my home and the infrastructure.

My dreams, ambitions, and goals were crushed under the weight of indiscriminate bombardment. The ordeal did not end there; I was displaced FIVE times during the war, each time more challenging than the last. One night, a missile landed next to our home, reducing it to ashes. We fled quickly, leaving behind everything, including my personal belongings, books, and laptop.
Displacement was an extremely bitter experience. Our lives turned into a daily struggle for survival. We lost basic resources like food and clean water and suffered from unclean living conditions, which led to the spread of diseases.
I contracted Hepatitis A and intestinal infections due to severe contamination, despite being an athlete who cared about my body and weight. I lost more than 10 kilograms due to the lack of resources.

Despite all these hardships, my dreams remain etched in my mind. I want to complete my education and career, to become a renowned translator and writer, celebrated in newspapers and magazines. I aspire to develop my talent and speak about my homeland and the injustice my people have faced. I want to be a bridge connecting cultures and spreading the truth through translation.
There is no place for despair in my heart. I believe that education is my weapon for achieving change, and I seek your support to continue my journey. Let us realize this dream together, to build a better future for me and the generations to come.
