Help Jianna Heal

We need your help.
Our sweet Jianna has faced many trials and tribulations in her recent past. A near-death experience in a head on hit and run would be catastrophic for anyone to endure. But within 2 ½ years to be the victim in another hit and run is unfathomable. Only to add to the trauma, the assailants in both instances fled the scene without taking accountability for their actions and have not been held responsible for anything at all up to this point. The lack of remorse for another's life is
without a doubt is one of the darkest aspects of mankind. And yet, Jianna has risen above the turmoil of her past with love, grace, and support from her friends as well as her community.
Ambitious, hard-working, fiercely protective of her friends and family, and having one of the biggest hearts is what makes Jianna truly unique. To know Jianna, is to love her – and right now she could use all the help you can offer.
After her near-death experience in July of 2018, Jianna has worked so incredibly hard to rehabilitate her mind, body, and spirit. Despite the cards she has been dealt, Jianna has keep a positive attitude but has been very transparent about her healing process. The dear people in her community have given nothing but love and support for Jianna; in return Jianna has work tirelessly to pay it forward. By using social media to provide sage advice, motivational tips, and help others heal are just a few of the multiple ways she has been giving back. Even after four major surgeries, with 3 metal plates and 13 screws still in her foot, Jianna has become a regular workout member on a vastly popular fitness program as well as a sports model shooting with world renown photographers.
On February 22, 2021 Jianna was the victim of another hit and run car accident in Los Angeles, California near the Hollywood area. Jianna was beginning to proceed through the intersection of La Brea & Melrose (with a green light and right of way) when the perpetrators ran the red light and smashed into Jianna’s vehicle. Jianna was able to make eye contact with one of her assailants and asked "Are you really just going to leave?" before both men abandoned their car and fled the scene of the crime. Thankfully first responders were able to safely and promptly transfer Jianna to the nearest hospital.
Jianna stayed in the emergency department overnight and had a multitude of tests done, including a CT Scan, MRI, and close monitoring of her overall state due to her serious head injury. Jianna sustained a severe concussion, severe whiplash along with numbness and tingling throughout both her legs. As a former NCAA Division 1 Indoor and Beach Volleyball athlete, Jianna has sustained multiple concussions
throughout her career. To have another acute brain injury is extremely worrisome. Numerous
accredited medical research studies as well as the CDC say that sustaining multiple concussions can have lifelong effects, including, but not limited to, cognitive impairment, depression, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Jianna’s car has been totaled and the previous case from her hit and run accident is still open. In regard to her most recent accident, a police report has been filed with the Los Angeles Police Department.
What we would like to do is take as much of a burden off Jianna as possible and she begins her second road to recovery. Unfortunately, that road begins with medical bills, auto bills, insurance bills, legal fees, and many other expenses associated with this traumatic experience.
I am sure some of you have enjoyed Jianna’s company. Whether it be her infectious laugh, a great conversation or the most competitive “for fun” beach volleyball day down by the pier in Huntington Beach.
Jianna is truly a light that lights up all our lives--the embodiment of a lioness… a warrior. Let’s
show her how much of an impact she has had on our lives. Whatever you can contribute would be
greatly appreciated. If you have information or leads on the identities of her two assailants, please feel free to contact us as well as The Los Angeles Police Department. Please keep Jianna and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
