My name is Jhoanna, and I’m reaching out because I’ve recently faced some of the hardest moments of my life. Over the past weeks, I’ve suffered several strokes, a heart attack, and internal bleeding. On Christmas Day, I underwent emergency surgery after a sudden health crisis. The experience was terrifying, and I am still processing how close I came to not being here today. Because of these medical emergencies, I’ve been unable to work, and the bills are piling up fast. I’m now facing mounting medical expenses and struggling to cover my living costs while I focus on recovery.

In addition to everything else, I am now undergoing an infusion treatment called rituximab. This medication is extremely expensive, costing thousands of dollars per treatment. I’ve already had my first infusion at the hospital, and I have another one scheduled soon. The cost of these treatments is overwhelming, and any help I receive will make a huge difference in my ability to continue my care.

The funds raised here will go directly toward my medical bills, daily living expenses, the high cost of my rituximab infusions, and helping me stay afloat until I’m able to return to work. I want to take a moment to thank all the plasma and blood donors out there. I received a total of six transfusions, including an emergency transfusion on Christmas, and a plasma transfer that truly saved my life. Your generosity and selflessness gave me another chance, and I encourage everyone to consider donating blood or plasma—it makes a world of difference.
