Help Jez and Brenna Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene struck in the dark just days ago.

But, for Jez and Brenna, and their three little girls,Violet, 4; Josephine, 2 and Daphne, 2 months, Helene made the nighttime even darker.

That is the night they lost their home.

A four foot storm surge destroyed their home in St. Petersburg, Florida. All they have left is each other.

There is some question about whether insurance will even cover the rebuilding of their home.

It will take $50,000 just to cover their losses, and to rebuild to get back to pre-storm conditions.

Here is just some of what was lost, and what they will need:

Furniture: couches, beds, mattresses, desks, nightstands, cabinets (kitchen, living room), dining table, office chairs.

(they can't accept furniture donations right now since they are living with the in-laws while they re-build.)

Appliances: fridges, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen aid, blender...

Living: pots/pans, clothes, shoes, self care (toothbrushes, shampoo, sponges, etc), tools, Tupperware, plate ware, pet supplies (brushes, shampoo, bowls, etc).

That's not even considering if they need to replace walls/floors etc. It may not be the whole list as they’re still going through things.

So, please consider giving whatever you can, keeping in mind that their insurance may not even cover the destruction.
