Hey guys, I'm embarrassed to be doing this, but friends and family encouraged me to ask you guys for some help with this emergency.

Backstory: I was recently supposed to perform at a Halloween show with my band, Abstract Sounds, in Akron, OH at BLU Jazz. As we were loading in, I sat my horn down to help a bandmate grab equipment out of his car. I heard a loud noise and someone saying STOP. The driver of an SUV had hit my horn and dragged it a few feet. When I opened the case, it was destroyed. My instrument is my livelihood and also this was a vintage horn from the 60s that I was given. This horn can run up to 10k easily. I also just recently moved into my place maybe a week ago, which took almost 2k out of pocket, so the timing couldn't be worse.

The driver and I exchanged info, but this honestly might not help because he doesn't think he's at fault at all. So whatever money I get will go towards a new horn or getting mine fixed and the price of lawyers if this has to go to court.
