We are raising funds for our dear friend Jevan Wilcox. Bree Brown (nee Wilcox) will be the beneficiary for this fund. As most of you know, Bree is Jevan's sister.  Bree will then distribute funds to Jevan.

Jevan has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. He has had some symptoms since November last year and after numerous tests he was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately the story does not get better. He has found out it has spread to his liver so now it is considered stage 4. At this stage, Jevan will need to undergo 6 weeks of chemo in the hope the tumour on his liver will shrink enough to be removed. If it is then operable, this will be followed by more chemo and then surgery on the bowel and again more chemo. It is aggressive and so will the treatment be.

Jevan lives by himself with his dog Zeus. Jevan does not have family in Melbourne. Vicki, his Mum, lives in Albury, NSW, so sadly due to COVID lockdown can't be in Melbourne at the moment. He also has very little, if any, sick leave in his job. He has agreed for me to set up this page, but like most people, hates to ask for help.

If we can help Jevan financially whilst he is going through treatment then we can take a load of stress off his shoulders, and just let him focus on getting better. The money raised will go towards rent and bills so he can keep his apartment. There will no doubt be times when he may not be able to work.

This is also a reminder to everyone to keep on top of your health. If you are over 50 then do the free bowel screening test. If you are under 50 then go to doctors if you have any issues.
