On October 28th my best friend and brother had their healthy baby boy Jett. A few days after he was brought home his big sister caught rsv. Despite all of their efforts to keep them apart he still contracted it. Home remedies were working until his mom noticed him struggling to breathe. They went to the hospital but were sent home and told to keep an eye on it. The next day she noticed him struggling again and they went back to the hospital. They decided to admit him and even transfer him to a hospital better equipped for his needs. In his stay this poor 1 week old baby has had a spinal tap, stuck on oxygen, x rays and multiple other tests. He is swollen from all the fluids but he is fighting hard and on the road to recovery. It is unknown when he will be able to come home but they’re hoping with in the next week.

Unfortunately with both kids having rsv Marissa had to stay home with Emmy and Jake was in the hospital with Jett so they wouldn’t spread the virus to more people. With Jake being the sole financial provider and taking off way more time than he anticipated after the birth of the baby, they are falling a bit behind and need some help even though they hate asking for it.
