Jett is my beautiful 8 year old Boxer who recently has gone from perfect health to being diagnosed officially with Lymphoma on August 26th, 2025.

It all started with what we thought were seizures on August 10th and 11th, I had him in the emergency vet immediately and we thought he had suddenly become epileptic or otherwise could have a brain tumor. With little to no answers, we went forward with putting him on seizure medication.

Fast forward a week later while petting him, I thought I found a lump in his chest easily the size of a golf ball. Later while showing his grandma I realized I could feel it on both sides of his chest and had him into the vet later that week where I learned they were indeed his Lymph Nodes which were extremely swollen all over his body... We had them aspirated and sent off to the lab to test for Lymphoma. I was hoping it would come back as a possible reaction to illness but instead it came back positive for cancer. Days later we were in for our first Oncology appointment with the University of Minnesota where we discussed diagnosis and treatment. The vet did some bloodwork and chest x-rays, coming back in to show me that his chest cavity was so full of fluid from his lymphoma that she couldn't even see his heart through all of it. A very overwhelming feeling of guilt, just wishing I had somehow caught this sooner came over me. The vet determined that she did not believe Jett was having seizures related to his brain how ever those were most likely episodes related to all of the fluid surrounding his organs. Before leaving I decided to get him an Elspar enzyme treatment immediately as well as start him on a steroid.

Throughout the weekend Jett experienced much improvement! He handled the treatments very well they swelling in his lymph nodes began to go down. He has been looking more and more like his normal healthy self every single day!

On September 2nd, 2025 Jett was diagnosed with the T Cell form of Lymphoma. After conversations with the staff, I have decided to move forward with LOPP Chemotherapy knowing that Jett is a strong candidate and we believe he will have a real positive outcome with the treatment. This is especially expected after such a positive response to the Elspar and Steroid treatment given so far. He began his first treatment September 4th and will be into the Oncology department at the U of M for 2 weeks on and 1 week off for the next 21 weeks.

All this said, the financial burden will be a lot on myself as I navigate throughout this time, I would like to say I was prepared but that is wishful thinking. I will personally be getting a second job to help pay for his treatment but I decided to make this page in hope that I may be able to fundraise some of the treatment cost as well. I understand if you cannot make a donation and will take all of the positive vibes and prayers as well for Jett to hopefully have a good treatment.

Hoping all of this will be worth it and give us all along with myself a few more years with my handsome man.
