As you all already know, Jet Jet has been diagnosed with kissing spines. As of right now, we are not going the surgical route as his vet seems to think that we can get him through this with medications, rehab, shockwave therapy, spinal injections, special supplements, and lots of physical therapy!

This of course is going to come with a significant cost. As of right now, Jet has already accrued well over $15,000 in veterinary bills in the last 6 months. As much as I hate to have to do it… I will do anything for Jet, Waffles, and Spencer! So I am asking for any help from anybody who can do so without putting themselves into a bad situation financially

I got an estimate from the vet about what the cost would be for the shockwave therapies and for the spinal injections. He will need these done over a minimum of three months and possibly as much as six months. If he does well enough and only needs three months of those treatments, the costs will be approximately $2000 per treatment (so a total of $6000). I am hoping that he only needs it for three months and I am diligently doing his PT and rehab here at home to help make sure that we get to that goal! Additionally, he also needs many supplements (joint supplements, omega-3 fatty acids, and three different stomach supplements to ensure that the medication’s and the stress of all of this doesn’t put him back into ulcers - for those you that have been here long enough we all remember how expensive treating ulcers was! That was about $8000 of his expenses that he accrued in 2025). I just ordered all of those supplements for the first month, and the total cost was around $400. He will need to be on these supplements for the duration of his treatments, so it could be anywhere from three months (fingers crossed and working hard to make this happen!) to six months (really really hoping it doesn’t go this long!).

Jet will also be on a minimum of two medication’s for the duration of the treatment and possibly forever. For right now, he is going to be on a pain medicine (firocoxib) and a muscle relaxer (methocarbamol). The vet did say that we may need to add in a third medication for nerve pain relief (gabapentin). I have ordered the first two medication’s and they will be here this week, and the cost for this month was around $300. This will be a monthly recurring cost for at least as long as he is in rehab and possibly for the rest of his life. ❤️‍

100% of these proceeds will absolutely go towards these costs for Jet Jet as well as paying off his vet bills from 2025.
