Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my service animal Jet. Many of you know him and he has touched many of your lives with nothing but love.
For those who don’t know him, Jet is a 70 lbs Black Lab. He is my service dog, my friend, and more importantly, a member of my family.
I am a Iraq War Veteran who suffers from PTSD and received Jet to help manage my symptoms. For the past 3+ years Jet has been by my side offering aid when times are at their hardest. He is an essential source of comfort, calm and love in my life.
A few days ago Jet became deathly ill. He was admitted to the animal hospital on Monday (2/20) morning and has been inpatient ever since, including spending the night in intensive care.
So far, X-Rays have shown no obstruction, blood test show no toxins, and fecal exam showed no bacterial infection. Jet has been on an IV since Monday and continues to refuse to eat.
While various tests have yet to reveal the source of his illness, they have unfortunately started to cause a financial hardship on my family. The nonprofit that gave us Jet is very small and is not in a position to cover these medical bills either. That is why we are asking for your help. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
