Jet is my emotional support Cocker Spaniel, and he has been by my side through some of the most challenging times in my life. A few years ago, Jet was diagnosed with a heart murmur, but with careful management and a strict diet, he continued to thrive and bring comfort to my days. Last week, everything changed when Jet suddenly became very ill. He started having loose stools that quickly turned into severe diarrhea and vomiting. When his regular vet couldn't see him, I rushed him to an emergency clinic. The veterinarians recommended bloodwork and x-rays, but I simply couldn't afford those procedures at the time, so Jet only received treatment for his symptoms. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, and by Saturday, his diarrhea was nothing but blood. We had to visit another emergency clinic, but again, the recommended diagnostics were out of reach financially. I have already spent all of my income tax return on his care, and now I have nothing left. Jet's symptoms continue, and this morning I was terrified I might lose him when he refused to eat. Thankfully, my roommate was able to get him to eat a little, but he is still not well. Donations will go directly to getting Jet the bloodwork, x-rays, treatments, and any additional care the vet recommends. This support will give him the best chance at a proper diagnosis and recovery.
