Help Jesus Recover & Pay For Associated Costs

Hello Family and Friends,

On Sunday night Jesus Cortez-Gomez was in a 35 mph accident in Black Earth when the vehicle he had just purchased failed to operate properly, causing the car to roll multiple times, resulting in some very serious injuries for this amazing young man. Ambulance services were immediately called, and Jesus was able to receive life-saving assistance at the scene of the accident and was then life-flighted to University Hospital here in Madison, Wisconsin. 


Jesus was unable to feel anything at the time of injury and by the time he made it to the hospital he had a bit more feeling. He underwent an immediate surgery where his head had to be disconnected from his neck so they could locate and repair his cervical spine vertebrae. After the surgery was completed, he was able to move his arms. It was unknown if he could move anything lower than his hips and at the time of surgery, as he wasn't able to get up to try. 


This man is a fighter, and in the writer of this GoFundMe's opinion, he has endured so much more than anyone else has had to in his short time on this earth. Jesus isn't even 30 years old yet and he has definitely shown this world that he is able to handle, overcome and breakthrough ANY obstacle that stands in his way.


That is why you have received the invitation to donate to this fundraiser today. Jesus is out of surgery, but has a long road ahead of him. At this point he needs to heal from his surgery from Monday 4/19/2021 and then the rest of his medical plan will figured out by his team of excellent doctors. He has so many people rooting for him, and even putting a positive comment on this page will help him stay motivated! This pandemic has been stressful on all of us but one thing I have noticed is how well it is bringing us together.
